2022 Fleurie, Jean-Paul Brun, Terres Dorées

Jean-Paul Brun took over from his father at the family domaine in 1979 - in 45 years he has transformed Terres Dorées from a small-holding with 4 hectares of vines alongside cows and sheep, to a 50 hectare property, with a reputation as one of the Beaujolais` pre-eminent traditional domaines. His wines are made "the Burgundian way," with hand picking of grapes, careful sorting, destemming and punching down during fermentation. He makes wines of beauty and elegance, that are true expressions of their Beaujolais terroir, with age-worthy structures.
