This is one of Faiveley’s benchmark bottlings, coming from a 6-hectare, now mature vineyard which has been carefully tended and managed over many decades (re-plantings took place in 1982, 1975, 1974, 1971 and 1963). In character, this is always powerful, with dense fruitiness and decent structure, giving excellent ageing potential. In 2022, colour is medium ruby, aromas having lovely intensity of red berry fruits. Palate is full bodied, fleshy and deeply concentrated, finishing with freshly firm, ripe tannins (for drinking 2026-2032+).
