The Clos Michet is a south facing vineyard, where the 50-60 year old vines grow in sandy soil over pure limestone. In 2022, this was the last site to be picked at the domaine, as the warm, dry summer in this well-exposed, fast draining plot significantly slowed down the ripening process. The wine was fermented and aged in French barrels, 15% of which were new. Colour is glistening, very pale gold, aromas being fragrantly expressive, recalling fresh apple, with hints of honeyed hazelnuts. Full, focussed and finely concentrated on the palate, the texture is satiny, having racy freshness to finish (for drinking 2024-2028+).
