The vineyards of this well-run, 15 hectare property adjoin those of Grand Cru Classé Château Latour-Martillac. The blend here leans on Merlot (69%), with 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Petit Verdot, currently ageing for 12 months in one third new oak barrels. Immensely attractive on the nose, with cassis and floral violet tones, palate is full bodied, with a juicy middle of ripe, fragrant fruit. Structure is fine, finishing with excellent length. Knowing how delicious the 2019 currently is from this property, this 2023 will reward an early purchase at the En Primeur price, for short and mid-term ageing (for drinking 2026-2034+).
