Domaine Tour Campanets

The organically cultivated vineyards of Domaine Tour Campanets nestle among 148 acres of wooded hillsides in Le Puy-Sainte-Réparade, 15km north of Aix-en-Provence. The property has a rich history, with the Romans having first planted vines here. Most recently, a new adventure began in 2012 when it was taken over by the Baude family, with Emmanuelle Baude stopping work as a solicitor to focus on her life-long passion and dream – to run a vineyard and make wine. Convinced of the potential at this property, Emmanuelle put great efforts into restoring the vineyard and reviving the production of wine. Organic cultivation is core to her ethos. "As soon as I bought the estate in June 2012, I lodged a request with ECOCERT for a certificate in organic farming," she says. "I want technology to be more effective in order to serve nature, and not the other way around. Today, progress means respecting the earth." The winery of the domaine is quite a unique building, being a round tower (the `tour` of Domaine Tour Campanets) built by the previous owners, between 1963 and 1966. The structure provides them with the means to make wine by using gravity and in a spirit of quality. We first discovered the domaine`s wines with Emmanuelle`s 2016 Esprit Rosé, and are delighted to be expanding our range.
