80% Cabernet Sauvignon, with 11% Merlot and 9% Cabernet Franc make up this Grand Vin blend. “Extremely dry August and September weather allowed tannins to ripen and accumulate, bringing incomparable concentration and aromatics” the Château explained, “then harvest extended over 3 weeks, without rain or worries.” Colour is medium-deep, rich ruby-purple, aromas are bright with black fruit complexities. Palate is magnificently crafted, combining fine structure, immaculate fruit intensity, freshness, fully ripened tannins, lush length. This is a great wine of classic proportions and magnificent potential (for drinking 2028-2060+).
