2019 Tyrrell`s Vat 47 Chardonnay, Winemaker`s Selection, Hunter Valley

Tyrrell`s Winemaker`s Selection wines are sourced from the family`s oldest and most iconic estate vineyards – the fruit for this Vat 47 Chardonnay was sourced and handpicked from the Short Flat vineyard, planted in 1968 by Murray Tyrrell. Perfectly treading the fine line between power and elegance, this 2019 has a beautiful, pure, flinty lemony scent. Palate is at once full, focussed and precise, having superb depth of complex, smoky, lemony flavours, thanks to sensitive oak maturation. This has tension, richness, creamy texture and a zesty, long-flavoured length (for drinking 2022-2025+).
