Noirien Pinot Noir is a gorgeously fragrant expression of Pinot. The fruit for this cuvée comes from the Scorpo family`s 10 hectare Stanleys Road Vineyard, planted in 2000. Cold soaking of the destemmed grapes prior to fermentation has enhanced its vibrant, ripe flavours. It went on to age in just 5% new oak for 12 months, to ensure that oak character be a supporting act to the wine`s natural, vital fruitiness. Pale ruby colour, aromas are beautifully pure, with notes of red fruits with floral tones. Medium bodied, the palate has real lift, energy and freshness. There is good depth of fruitiness, very fine texture and excellent length.
