This comes from a plot which is high on the hillside in the commune of Bouze-lès-Beaune (mid-point altitude: 421 metres). Its red soils are clay-rich –perfectly adapted to Pinot Noir, all grapes being hand-picked, then fermented with 60% whole bunches. It has aged in 500-litre barrels, of which 40% were new. Colour is deep, ruby-purple, aromas are bright and fresh, palate shows rich, impressive fruit intensity and good structure. This is a suave, harmonious wine with a lovely future (for drinking 2025-2030+).
