Domaine Gayda’s Viognier vines lie high in the Languedoc hills, giving a style of white that is fresher and has more vivacity than one might expect from this sun-drenched sector of southern France. We discovered this wine 14 vintages ago, having fallen for its purity of fruit and liveliness; this 2023 is brilliant, once again. Pale lemon-gold colour, aromas are cleanly scented, recalling fresh apricots. Palate is light and delicately floral, having excellent concentration of stone fruit flavours. Acidity is racy, the finish being balanced and bright.
