The property lost 5-10% of its production due to spring frost, then yield was further reduced by the dry summer, however the quality of the grapes was so high that the quantity of Grand Vin here is comparable to last year. The blend is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot with 10% Petit Verdot, presently ageing in new (40%), one-year-old (35%) and two-year-old (25%) oak barrels. The wine is absolutely classic, showing pure, scented, cassis aromas and dense fruit on the palate. This has charm, freshness and a finely balanced, long finish (for drinking 2023-2032+).
Please note, this en primeur wine is limited to 1 case online. More may be available: please call 020 7584 7927 or email to enquire further.
