Like many of the best Pomerols, this is a small estate, covering less than 7 hectares. Being under the same Castéja family ownership as Châteaux Batailley, it has been receiving the additional, tightly focused attention it deserves, with quality steadily climbing. The vines border famous names towards the north of Pomerol’s central plateau, and now average around 30 years of age. 100% Merlot, from 60-70 year old vines, this is very deep purple colour. Aromas are fresh and open, palate is delicate, with mouth-coating fruitiness and elegant aftertaste (for drinking 2026-2036+).
